Kitchen Quilt Ansemble

I just listed a kitchen quilt and matching hot pad holders and tea towel. These are made from some vintage fabric with country blue checks and black and white chickens. I also used a fabric that looks like chicken wire for the odd blocks. This is a really cute ansemble. I place dark country blue prairie points all around the edge. This would be perfect for a country kitchen and is so colorful. Now just guess what new tool that I used to make this darling set?? You guessed it my new Free Accuquilt Go Cutter. Yipee I won it from the Accuquilt company on their Fun Friday Contest!!

Another One of My Signature T-Shirts Quilts

This is a really pretty t-shirt quilt top that needs to be loaded on my quilting machine. I love the way this one turned out as the sashing fabric is so pretty and does not distract from the t-shirts. This one goes to a customer in Austin, Texas. I am always taking orders so if you have some memories in t-shirts and want to order on go to my etsy shop.

Great T-shirt Quilt

Another t-shirt quilt for a customer. These are her memories of Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and other Asian places that she visited and lived  when her husband was in the army. This is a queen size quilt. I take orders for t-shirt quilts. If you have some memories that you want preserved in a quilt you can contact me through my etsy account.

Crown Royal Quillow

This is a custom order quillow. This customer was getting it made for a friend and wanted the Crown Royal Bourbon bags put on this quillow. One picture shows the quillow from the front with the bags and the other picture shows how the back and what the entire quillow looked like. The fabrics that we chose was very complimentary to the Crown Royal bags. All in all it turned out very pretty.

Wizard of Oz Costumes on Etsy!!

I just listed the "Dorothy" costume from the Wizard of Oz on etsy. It  turned out so cute that I have decided to take special orders. This costume is not made like most costumes with cheap fabrics , no hems and mimimal decoration. I have tried to make it as authentic and durable as possible. I can also make any size including adult sizes.   http://www.etsy.com/listing/45442095/wizard-of-oz-dorothy-costume-special

The Abomidable Snowman

Well I live in Texas and what do you expect from someone that rarely sees snow. I made this several years ago and won a ribbon on it. I just love him.  I put him up in January and leave him up until March. I just wanted to share him with all of you as he will soon be melting away. LOL

When my sisters and I were very young all three of us loved to make things. I think that was the way kids entertained themselves in those days. Our mother sat us down with old clothes and needles and thread and we made our dolls clothes.
My creativity grew from there and I found myself in high school making all of my own clothes. I did get a lot of attention with my matching outfits including hats. Since I was shy maybe that was my way of creating my own world and at the same time getting attention.
I finally did get tired of making clothes and went into quilting. The first year I quilted I made every family member quilts, quilts and more quilts.
You can only make so many quilts and so many bags before you have no space left. What is a very nutty creative person going to do about this?? Well you are going to open an ETSY shop and sell some of this stuff, right?? http://fabricartist21.etsy.com/
My neighbor asked me to make her a T-Shirt Quilt and I have been doing that for over a year now. I take special orders through my Etsy shop. I have become very busy with this business and will continue to create t-shirt quilts as long as their are customers that want them.
